Charlie Obaugh Community Involvement

Paint the Valley Blue

National Police Week starts today! National Police week started in 1962 with a proclamation signed by President John F. Kennedy declaring May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day with the remainder of the week being National Police Week.

In 2016, two Mother's of police officers in Staunton, Virginia decided that our community should do more to celebrate Staunton Police Department. Paint Staunton Blue was born, but now in 2017, the momentum has grown, and the event is now Paint the Valley Blue.

Charlie Obaugh of Staunton is in our second year of sponsorship. Our community can drop by to pick up a lapel ribbon, yard sign, window sticker, or blue light bulb for your porch light for free to show your support for local law enforcement.
